So the other night at our Creative Team Meeting, we came up with this crazy idea in the midst of planning our current series. We began talking about a series that would speak on other religions, and answer questions like, “Why is Christianity the only way?”, and “Why can’t all the religions just be right”. This got me thinking of the John Lennon song “Imagine”. Here’s the lyric in case you’ve been living under a cardboard box in the jungle (or maybe you were born after 1985).

Imagine there’s no Heaven , It’s easy if you try
No hell below us, Above us only sky

If that song isn’t chock full of teaching illustrations on today’s culture and what the Bible has to say, I don’t know what is.

So, anyway, I don’t know if we’ll actually do this series, but I was inspired to at least put my vision down graphically:

In my mind this is a mailer that would go out and kick off an Easter series – wow! That opening message could be on what would Easter be without the redemption story, and where would we find ourselves with no hope for anything beyond this existence…
