the life of a renaissance pastor
Just put ’spiders’ in the search bar over there to the right & you’ll see what I mean…
There’s a few things lately that have been driving me nuts. And I just need to get them off my chest.
Fox LA does a live stream of their morning news. It never works right, it jumps skips, stops for no reason, etc. And whoever administrates it leaves it on during commercial breaks so you hear [...]
I apologize ahead of time for this post.
Saw this over at YouTube:
Can’t sleep. It’s been a while since I’ve found myself in this position. I used to suffer from some mild sort of insomnia, balanced with a healthy dose of work-o-holisicm. I don’t know what happened but over the last couple years I’ve learned to shut down and spend more family time in the evenings. Since [...]
If you live in California you are now in month two of a ridiculous law: no holding your phone to your ear to talk. Oh you can text all you want, but don’t hold that phone to your face. For me, I’m always pushing my bluetooth into my ear so I can hear, so I [...]
Well that’s how this guy explains it “hoy-hoy-hoy..”
He showed up in Ireland, even though he was in Georgia. Then he dissapeared, then reappeared. Interesting. His other videos are even more strange, pretty offensive, I won’t post a link to his site, or any other videos - you can follow up on your own. No wonder [...]
You’ve got to check this out, especially if you delve into web, design, blogging, designing, etc. This happens on almost a daily basis to me:

Found this over at Motionhouse’s Blog.
I wish the people who did this to us understood. Unfortunately, I don’t think they ever will…
I’m kind of in a weird mood tonight, so here’s my list of things that annoy me (this is not an exhaustive list):
when wireless internet doesn’t work like it’s supposed to (like in my office)
the new California “hands free” law
musicians who don’t play with passion
when my MBP won’t read my external hard drive
people who don’t [...]
So I get a call at 12:00pm today and Jen says, “Well, when it rains it pours… we got rear ended about 5 minutes ago”. Oh my goodness! This has been the month! Apparently while waiting at an intersection, someone thought they could run a red light and push my wife out of the way. [...]
My name is Alex McLean and I am currently the executive pastor at LifeChurch in the Temecula Valley of Southern California. I have been a youth pastor and worship leader, as well as a media / communications pastor so I am into all kinds of things creative.
At the core, I am just a guy who is trying to live in community, and live life - not let it happen. I try and stay real and teachable, humble if I can say that. That is really one of the reasons I blog, is to share my experiences in life and learn from others.
God has blessed me with more than I deserve and I am so thankful for that. A beautiful wife and two incredible children. More friends and family than you can shake a stick at and just an amazing life that I am allowed to enjoy and or struggle with every day.
