Character…

Just a quick post with a couple quotes that I align with.

Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing. - Abraham Lincoln
ht: Nelson Searcy

The True Testament of a Man’s Character is how He Treats Someone who can Do Him Absolutely No Good. - Samuel Johnson
ht: a comment from this post

If a man has any greatness in him, it comes to light, not in one flamboyant hour, but in the ledger of his daily work.
— Beryl Markham

Just saw your tweet – sounds like I”m not the only one who has been forced to choose between Google Reader and other items of importance … w/ Google Reader not making the cut!

    Hey Alex,

I hope that you included my favorite quote in your sermon (the one by Samuel Johnson) – it means a lot to me.

I really think that character is something that people should constantly be building. If you help other people without trying to help yourself first, your character is getting better……

Thank you and have a great day

    -Brandon
