Worship Environments 3
Took a little trip up to the Grove in Riverside. We’re affiliated with the same denomination (the Alliance), and our lead pastor was at a conference up there a couple weeks ago and said we had to go check it out. So we did, and here’s my Treo pics to prove it.

This is their Cafe & Bookstore – that’s off campus, down the street

They call this the “chapel”. It’s a little smaller than our main worship center.

Love this sign!

Scheduled out to April!

JVC-HD, nice.

The other side.

Audio gear.

Video switching.

Lighting.

Someone knows how to setup a kit. Pure & Simple.

A view from the stage.

Every church has a giant cross somewhere.

I love the ceiling treatment!

Children’s worship center.

Children’s check in.

Baptismal (yes! it’s outside and not at stage right!)

Something we don’t have enough of.

They’ve got a gymnasium.

High school tech area.

High school food area.

High school worship center – a little drab.

Junior high worship center – also a little drab. But hey, NICE ROOMS!

I think they have terminator robots behind this door.

long hallway.

This explains the demographic.

Info booth – a little lack of color & design, but very functional.
So my impressions were: amazing facility, looks like everything was done right. My only criticism is that it feels a little stale, not much color or design element – looks very baby boomerish, which is most likely their biggest client. It also feels a little “over built”, everything is just bigger than life, huge columns, hallways, chandeliers, etc.

Don’t be covetious; I’m sure they’ve got larger debt than you guys too…
Dude, how ’bout coming to St. Simons Island since we can’t seem to get any pics of our new facility online!
Fred
yeah that is def baby boomerish. looks a lot like a business.
That Gym is freakin sweet. I agree with you on the blandness of some of the rooms.
Mmmm….imagine not having to have a drum shield or guitar cabs in the closet.
