I don’t know how to Title this post…

Let me start with this:

Have you never heard?
Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40

That’s one of my favorite scriptures, and songs (Everlasting God by Chris Tomlin). A couple weeks ago, Jen and I took a huge step of faith – not that we are special or even smart, but we feel we were being obedient. It was immediately apparent that God was blessing that decision because we felt so much peace (even in the face of uncertainty), and our decision was supported by our church, friends, and family. But that left us with no job and no real direction – just in a place where we had to trust that God had a plan.

Well, he did (have a plan), and I can’t wait to tell this story!

Exactly one week after I resigned my position, I got a phone call. That phone call led to a face to face meeting. And that face to face meeting led to one of the most amazing things that has happened in our lives:

We’re going to be moving to Rancho Community Church! I’m so humbled to be taking the position of Communications Pastor there where I get to work with both the church and their school.

God is so good, so faithful. That’s really what is going on here. Not us, but God. It’s him all over the place guiding, directing, and drawing us into his plan for our lives. All it took was our obedience and he did something amazing.

We’re so excited – not for the reasons that are obvious, but more for the fact that God’s hand is all over our lives in the past months. We’ve learned to listen more, to trust more, and to expect more.

Lastly, we want to thank EVERYONE who’ve been praying for us – we feel it, we need it, and we appreciate it more than you can ever know. Thank YOU for the support, and thank GOD for his faithfulness.

More details to come over the next weeks…
