Music Monday
I can remember when I was a freshman in High School I bought a cassette tape that I was so proud of: INXS X. I’m not afraid to admit that I was a huge INXS fan. It was the zenith of MTV, CD’s getting popular, and the Euro-invasion was getting old – I believe it would have been around 1990 or so. After getting “X”, I went and got “Kick”, which was even better (an earlier album). I distinctly remember locking myself in my room, clicking play on the walkman and drifting into INXS-land for hours on end as I air drummed through every song (What can I say – I love a drummer who plays PAISTE! This also contributed to me begging my parents for a drumset until they finally caved in a year later).
Last year, Eric and I went and saw the new INXS at Pala Casino – it was kind of a joke, sorry to say. There were 40+ year olds getting stoned and drunk all over the place, making out, and dancing – pretty pathetic. I guess I was a little young to be into them? Anyway I like to remember the old INXS and here’s a few of my favorites:

I think this is my favorite all-time INXS song. Not even sure why, the song just has such a great character, way ahead of it’s time – almost like a “Streets have no name” type of song.

yeah i pretty much had no idea about music so i listened to what you did…INXS, R.E.M, U2, Pink Floyd, Rush. I am scarred now, maybe thats a good thing.
So what did you think after they did the whole RockStar show and tried to reboot themselves?!?! I noticed you don’t have either of those music videos up
fyi.. we think David Cook on American Idol reminds us of you. Minus the hair.. Lits
wow..I used to be searching for this and eventually acquired it from this post. Thank you for making it easier.
