Road Trip America | Day 7

We had planned on getting up and going to Crosspoint Church in Decatur to check it out and meet @moviepastor – well that didn’t happen. Here’s our excuse: We’d been living on California time for the past week. During that time we crossed two time zones and Saturday night was the beginning of Daylight Savings. So we were up talking with Jen’s dad until about 1:00am Decatur time, which would really be 2:00am after Daylight Savings. Anyway, we slept in.
Jen’s dad wanted to take us to the Space & Rocket Center – we know Miles would love it. But first we made a couple pit-stops. First we had breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Madison, which was awesome! We ‘put down some groceries’ as Jen’s dad would say!
Then we headed over to the Chia’s pad, just to say HI. That’s all we had time for, unfortunately – we would have loved to take them up on their offer of coffee & conversation, but we had to get over to the Space Center. But it was cool to see them in person! If you don’t read Billy’s blog, you should – he’s a stand up guy – and I can vouch that he talks like he writes!
So the next few hours we spent at the Space & Rocket Center – not much to blog about, but lot’s of pictures (below).
After that we headed home for some much needed naps. Then we cooked up some dinner – it was another great day!
