My son Miles is a HUGE Star Wars fan, as was I when I was a little boy. I had all the toys, dressed up like Luke Skywalker (who I called Luke Flyswatter), and watched the movies every time I had a chance. Now my son has followed in his dad’s footsteps. The coolest thing for me is to see him begin to understand some of the deeper character issues that are dealt with in the film and to begin asking questions and look beyond all the lightsabers and star ships.
But, back to fun stuff. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed comes out 2 days before his birthday, so I think it’s a fitting gift. Hopefully we’ll get it for Wii, where it looks like you can actually use your Wii controller as a lightsaber - how cool is that?

Yeah, my 6 year old has been a Star Wars geek for over two thirds of his life. He’s really excited about the new animated Clone Wars movie, as well as the upcoming Wii game.
