Sometimes clarity hits me like eating the most choice steak - I love steak (sorry vegans).
It’s like when you’re tuning a guitar and you get that string to the exact frequency and the whole guitar responds with warmth.
It’s like when a teacher reveals something profound in a way that makes complete sense to you.
It’s like that perfect sunset that puts and end to that perfect day you spend with someone you love.

It’s funny how blessings come into your life in the most interesting ways. Last week I found out that I was the winner of a little contest over at Jenni Catron’s blog. I am now the owner of ‘Unleashing the Power of Rubber Bands‘ by Nancy Ortberg. I didn’t even realize it but the forward is written by Patrick Lencioni, author of ‘The Five Dysfunctions of a Team‘, one of my favorite leadership books! Splendid, as my friend Karl would say. I received the book in the mail yesterday with an awesome little note - thank you Jenni. If you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, you’ll know that I have a healthy obsession with leadership. I believe in it, and I am a leader, and I’m striving to be the best leader that I can be.
There’s always Leadership books, quotes, podcasts, blogs, quotes, etc. that are coming to the surface. The lastest and greatest 715 irrefutable, undeniable, infallible, laws of leadership… And I get all caught up in it, I’m not gonna lie. Check this one out:

I love that one, although I can rarely keep to it (being late however is a pet peeve of mine).
