I came aboard the USS Germantown yesterday and spent the day following Chris all over this monster of a ship. I think I was the stairmaster yesterday. Slept like a rock in a coffin of a space – personally, I loved it. Took a famous 1 minute Navy shower this morning, and spent the rest of the morning watching as we left Pearl Harbor. This is a very cool thing to do, I’m truly blessed to have such a great friend, who allowed me to come along!

Right now I’m down somewhere in the belly of the ship in some office, hanging out till lunch. I’ve got my macbook pro, and my phone hanging out of a port hole so I can use it as a modem. I know, I must be addicted. Here’s some pictures to give you an idea of what’s going on here, and I’ve taken already about 50 pictures and a lot of video, so I’ll have a ton more when I get back.
about this time I was disconnected from the internet world for the next 5 days – the longest in a while (which was good!). I was actually ichatting with Peter, Kevin, & Rich at the time. I had an incredible time, lot’s of reading, thinking, contemplating, praying, hanging out with Chris, learning about the Navy/Marines, hearing a lot of people’s stories – just taking it all in. It was good. I blogged the whole time and I’ll be releasing posts for the next couple days on the Tiger Cruise, lot’s of info and pictures to come!
Chris I know was very happy that you were able to go on the Tiger Cruise. Glad you had a good time.
